Why do people claim that the Earth is flat?
After various proofs by recognized space agencies it is strange to know that people still believe that the Earth is flat. These people comes under "The Flat Earth Society" as they are associated with it.
A survey found that 2% of Americans firmly believe the Earth is flat, with interesting differences segmented by age, religion, income, and political affiliation.
Members of the Flat Earth Society believe the Earth is flat. They believe so because walking around on the planet's surface feels flat, so they ignore all evidence to the contrary, such as satellite photos of Earth as a sphere, which they think is photoshopped to be fabrications of a "round Earth conspiracy" orchestrated by NASA and other government agencies.

The members believe that the photos which are out in public of the moon and various other planets seemed to be manipulated by digital ways using photo editing applications.
Most of celebs have been quite vocal with their beliefs for the same. On Jan. 25, 2016, rapper-singer Bobby Ray Simmons Jr. (known as B.o.B) released a track called "Flatline" in which he disses astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, after they had a Twitter battle over the spherical-ness of the planet.
B.o.B is convinced Earth is flat. A day earlier, the rapper tweeted: "No matter how high in elevation you are... the horizon is always eye level ... sorry cadets... I didn't wanna believe it either."

The ancient Indians believed that the Earth was a concave structure. Eventually the theory was more polished with respect to time and then they called the Earth as “bhugola” which describes the shape of a ball squashed at poles and swollen at the centre in Sanskrit. Now we all are aware the Earth is not flat nor circle, but more of a spherical in shape. Still most of the youth in western countries believe that the Earth is flat.
